Didn't realize what I signed up for....LOL It is a wonderful experience as well as the most challenging I have ever had since I have been working with B.O.S.S. The Movement. I give great respect to those who take this curriculum and just get it going with or without other people supporting them. I could not imagine having to start a program at another region without this experience that I am currently in. It is truly an amazing program that not only teaches and grooms the youth for success but those who take on the challenge as a trainer or head trainer are really giving in a great sacrifice for Christ and the youth. It is frustrating to find that alot of people in the body of Christ don't see the importance of youth and take more of their energy to help those who are about to check out of here and be with the Lord while the young people have barely begun to live. This has really helped me to see the greater importance is to train those who have not messed up their lives so much that they are in a spiritual coma. Rather it is best to work with those who are spiritually kicking and looking for the answers to life at such young ages. The youth are awake and alert, they are hungry and looking for answers. This generation is sharp when they are challenged to grow. Not that adults don't need help however that greater energy could be spent preventing the same issues to come to you if you focus on your young people. Thank God for all the teachers, ministers, pastors and apostles in the world that do help us old ones. But I commend those ministries that have a strong focus on the youth. Shame on you if you don't even have a youth department. May God prick and prode at your heart until you do!!! Cause you need one!
i can certainly understand your frustration and concerns regarding this matter, for i too have been frustrated for wanting to help and be a blessing by making myself available but no one contacted me or confirmed an assignmment for me. i had set aside time on monday and tuesdays because those were my days of availability, to be a part of the volunteer process for the upcoming classes. i even showed up for the ist day of class, not knowing it had been cancelled. i then waited for a call regarding my new assignments, that i never received. later i found out via e-mail the classes were moved to Thursday Nights of which i was not available on Thursdays, still no contact regarding the things i could do from home ,ie make calls, follow ups etc. I then resolved that maybe my help was not needed, not understanding why, when the continual requests for help were always voiced every month at the Vertical Leap Seminars. I want so much to be a blessing to the awesome people that make up the Boss The Movement Executive Team, I have great love and respect for what they do and their unselfish support they give to so many. So my heart goes out to Myra for sharing this concern for the young people, maybe my offer to help did not fit the criteria, hopefully there are others who are willing to pitch in and their skills sets do fit the criteria needed for specific assignments,and just need to know how. My hopes and Prayers that you find the right fit for those positions you need assistance in. i just wanted to fit in anywhere i could to help, no task was considered too small. Have you ever tried to be a part of something, but just felt like there was no place for you ? You cannot take it personally, you have to pray and ask God,"Where Do I Fit In, in the Body Of Christ? The Team of BTM give so much and do so much for the Body Of Christ, I wanted to give back, dont feel good about coming to Seminar unless i can volunteer or give back in service for all they have doone for me.......It is my prayer those qualified individuals step up and roll up their sleeves to work in the Kingdom at BTM........your Sister In Christ....Olive
